Science Art collaboration with Professor Ann Williams

This illustration was created in collaboration with Professor Ann Williams, Professor of Experimental Oncology at the School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine

Cancer at the University of Bristol. She specialises in colorectal tumour cell survival mechanisms and identifying novel targets for chemoprevention.

Uncontrolled Cell Growth

This artwork illustrates the growth of colon cancer in the cells lining the colon. It uses growing mosaic patterns to creatively depict how cells start to divide and grow out of control, forming masses of various cell types, known as tumours.
